Administration of Oneida County, U.S., announced plans to build a casino in the city of Utica. the opening of the gambling facility is assumed to allow the district, which is part of the depressed region of the Rusty Belt, to overcome economic difficulties and production decline.
the union of the Indian tribes of the Oneida district will be a partner in the construction of the casino. The gaming and entertainment complex will be erected in the area of the famous arena of Utica Memorial Auditorium.
In addition to casinos, the gambling area includes a 60,000 square feet beer museum, as well as a research center with a tasting kitchen, a laboratory, a beer starter cultures incubator and a beer garden.
“We plan to turn the neighborhood near Utica Memorial Auditorium into an entertainment and sports center. This will attract tourists and will contribute to the development of the region as a whole,”said Anthony J. Picente Jr., the head of the County Administration.
According to Picente, a new casino in Utica will become a landmark of the region, like the famous Yellow Brick Road in Chittenango.
