Chinese holding Guo Wei plans to invest funds in the construction of a casino and a thousand-room hotel in the Primorye gambling zone. This was discussed yesterday, on November 13, at a meeting of Guo Wei’s representatives with delegates of Primorye Territory Development Corporation. As a result of intensive negotiations, Guo Wei became one of potential investors of the gambling resort. The investment amount has not been disclosed yet.
Mr. Shi, the head of the Chinese delegation, stressed that the main reason for their interest is investment potential of the Primorye resort.
“This place will be especially interesting for Chinese tourists due to availability of gambling and its good transport accessibility. We plan to build a casino and hotel, as well as create a recreational park area and a yacht club on the bay,” Mr. Shi said.
Primorye gambling zone is located in the resort area on the bank of the Ussuri Gulf on the bank of the Formic bay. On November 11, 2015 there was the grand opening of Tigre de Cristal Casino, the first of the eight casinos planned in the gambling zone. Due to the low population density in the region and its remoteness from major cities, Primorye focuses mainly on gamblers from China and Japan.
