Hard Rock International owned by the Indian tribe of Seminoles became the owner of Trump Taj Mahal Casino. The transaction took place this weekend.
According to Carl Icahn, the former casino owner, the sale of Trump Taj Mahal to Hard Rock International was the best solution for him. The new casino in the line of Hard Rock will start working in the spring of 2018.
The press conference at which Hard Rock International is to announce plans for the casino development is to be held on April 5. To make Trump Taj Mahal part of its brand, Hard Rock intends to invest $ 300 million.
The decision to sell the casino to Hard Rock International was made on March 2, when Carl Icahn met representatives of the holding.
Trump Taj Mahal Casino began work in 1990 as part of the business of the current US President, Donald Trump. After bankruptcy in 2016, the casino became the property of billionaire Carl Icahn. Unresolved conflict between Carl Icahn and the casino staff led to the closure of the gambling facility in October of the same year.
