New Asian-themed casino-resort Lucky Dragon was opened in Las Vegas last weekend. Soft opening ceremony was held on Sunday, the grand opening is planned for December 6th. Dragon Casino is the first casino which was opened on the Strip in six years, since the Cosmopolitan. The total surface area of Lucky Dragon is 27,500 square-foot on which 30 tables and 300 slots are located.
The casino echoes asian spirit and focuses on the games which are popular in Asia — Baccarat, Pai Gow, Pachinko, Mahjong. There are only few Western-style table games in the casino. A huge luxurious crystal dragon luster is suspended above the main bar at the Lucky Dragon, weighing 1,25 tons. Ultra-luxurious VIP gambling rooms are situated on the first floor.
‘Most casinos in Las Vegas try to be all things to all people. We have a different approach here at Lucky Dragon. With our service standards, we try to make sure that we are putting the Asian cultures first and allowing the American cultures to follow behind,’ Dave Jacoby, the chief of operating officer of the Lucky Dragon Casino, said.
