Gonzo’s Quest, one of the most popular NetEnt’s slots, will become the first real-money Virtual Reality slot game from the company. This was announced within ICE Totally Gaming, held at ExCeL London, from 7-9 February 2017. The first prototype of the game has been showcasing at Stand N3-242.
“We believe that Virtual Reality has a given place in the future of online gaming, based on our research and the trends that we monitor. We remain focused on delivering the ultimate entertainment experience by taking this first step towards developing our first real-money VR slot. This is a milestone for NetEnt and the gaming industry,” Per Eriksson, CEO of NetEnt, commented on the release.
The representatives of NetEnt believe that WebVR technology will be mature enough to offer basic support for VR game-play in 2017/2018. Gonzo’s Quest VR will be included in the NetEnt’s games portfolio in the near future.
Gonzo’s Quest was released by NetEnt in 2010. Despite further releases of new games from NetEnt, the demand for this slot continues to grow. That is why Gonzo’s Quest is the first game that will be adapted for virtual reality.
Launched in 1996, NetEnt is a leading provider of premium gaming solutions to the world’s most successful online casino operators. Originally from Sweden, the company has over 200 people employees, whose primary concern is the development and production of innovative games.
