The PaddyPower bookmaker has started to accept bets on the game to be included in The Strong’s The World Video Game Hall of Fame Museum in Rochester, New York. A list of 12 candidates to enter the Hall was formed on the basis of a popular vote and was announced by the museum administration on March 29.

According to bookmakers, the main contenders for membership in the Hall of Fame are considered to be Donkey Kong and Pokemon Red and Green games. Bets on them are accepted with odds of 1.22. Among the bookmaker list leaders are also the projects of Final Fantasy VII and Tomb Raider. If one of these games gets into the Hall of Fame, the payouts on bets will be 1.36 and 1.44, respectively.

PaddyPower analysts estimate odds of other nominees to enter the VIP exposition of the museum as follows:

Microsoft Windows Solitaire — 1.9,

Mortal Kombat — 2.5,

Street Fighter II —2.7,

Resident Evil — 3.1,

Halo: Combat Evolved —4.0,

Portal и Wii Sports — по 5.0,

Myst —6.0.

The World Video Game Hall of Fame was opened in April 2015. In the same year its members were Pong, Pac-Man, Tetris, Super Mario Bros and World of Warcraft. In 2016, the Legend of Zelda, Grand Theft Auto 3, The Sims, The Oregon Trail, Sonic the Hedgehog and Space Invaders were added to the collection of the Hall of Fame.
