According to Pentasia, iGaming recruitment agency, since the beginning of 2017 the number of employees recruited to work in the European iGaming industry has exceeded the number of specialists employed in this sector during the whole last year.
The analysis made by Pentasia showed a steady increase in the number of vacancies in management positions in the sales and management of company accounts. In many respects, the demand for professionals in this area is due to increased confidence in iGaming industry as a whole, as well as an increase in the number of top-ranked specialists.
Pentasia’s experts have concluded that competition between gambling operators have increased the standards put forward for job seekers in sales and account management. At the same time, the increase in demand for sales professionals is largely due to the large number of mergers and acquisitions in the gambling industry over the past 12 months.
“The gambling online sector, of course, is booming. This opens a lot of unique opportunities both for companies and applicants, ” Steve Kirk, Senior Consultant with Pentasia, commented.
At the same time, in spite of the lively recruiting market, iGaming companies have difficulty in selecting professionals with strong mid-level sales experience. According to experts, this problem is system-wide and affects many branches of the economy.
