The British authorities are developing a national online self-exclusion scheme. The program, called GAMSTOP, will be administered by The Remote Gambling Association (RGA).
iGaming self-restraint service is assumed to be launched at the end of this year. GAMSTOP web-based platform will allow online gamers experiencing gambling problems to block access to the websites of operators licensed by UKGK.
According to Paul Hope, the UKGC program director, the users’ ability to block access to all gambling sites by one query will be a powerful tool in opposing gambling addiction.
According to the latest data of UKGS, £ 1.82 billion was lost on the fixed odds betting terminal (FOBT). This amount exceeds the same indicator for the previous period, although the number of FOBT terminals has increased by only 9% for this time.
